Comvu Pocketcaster is a software platform aimed at delivering near-broadcast quality live video feeds streamed from mobile devices. Broadcast reporters can use the software to distribute live breaking news video directly from the field. While working at Metaliq, Inc., I was part of the design team involved in the concept and design of the Pocketcaster software front-end. We were tasked with designing a multifunctional interface that includes (among others) a dynamic homepage that is continually updating current and new live feeds, a Live Studio page with multiple on/off air feeds and a Video Editor page that allows users to cut video, add audio and create archive videos.
